Building Jaluino Bee v2.0

This page had move to Jaluino website.

Thanks.

Jaluino Bee v2.0

(but where is v1.0 ?...)

I've been working for several months by now on a new Jaluino board, Jaluino Bee. I've designed a first PCB (v1.0), tested it with more or less success and now have ordered (and received) a second batch of PCBs (v2.0). From all i could test it seems to work "out of the box", so now is the time to expose this...

Upper three board: Bee v1.0 with more or less "green wire" fixes. From left to right: Jaluino Bee[z] powered by PIC18F25K22, Jaluino Bee powered by PIC18F27J53 (lots of fixes...) and Jaluino Bee[p] powered by PIC18F2550 (because I had some in my box...). On the bottom, Jaluino Bee v2.0 powered by PIC18F27J53 (no more "green wire" fixes), sweet...

A visual history of Jallib

Gource is a nice tool used to produce videos from source control softwares like SVN, Git, Mercurial and Bazaar. For the fun, I've run Gource over jallib repository.

Some early jallib committers may remember specific details, like validated/unvalidated maps, samples stored "by_device", etc... Lots of decisions taken, and later reconsidered, more committers (who sometimes behave like some Jedi Masters), more libs, more samples, more alive ! :)

Enjoy !

Jaluino Cuckoo and Arduino: first surgery

Disclaimer, warnings, caution

Don't do this, don't read this, close this page, because what is following will break your Arduino board, it will disintegrate it, it won't work anymore, you'll just have to throw it away. Unusable. This is extreme Arduino, this is Forbidden Arduino. Do it at your own risk, if you completely and undoubtedly know what you're doing, because I'm not responsible in anyway for anything that would occur before, while and after, for decades and decades. And much more.

Jaluino Cuckoo logo

Though Jaluino Cuckoo doesn't even exist, though I don't even if it can exist, I thought it was important to design a dedicated logo.

I can't wait to see it on professional PCB :)

Cheers,
Seb

Jaluino Cuckoo meets Arduino

In last post, Jaluino Cuckoo has been briefly exposed, at least this is what I have i mind... The idea is to "parasite" the Arduino and put an small board with a Microchip PIC microcontroller, instead off Atmel chip. Just like brood parasite cuckoo birds squat in other species nests.

Jaluino PCBs soon available !

Jaluino PCBs, directly coming from India thanks to Sunish, will soon arrive at destination (my home), from where they'll soon be dispatched. This is the first batch order for Jaluino boards, very exciting :)

This order contains 15 units, 10 being already reserved (to be confirmed). If interested, please contact us on Jaluino Group: http://groups.google.com/group/jaluino

Some photos, more to come...

Jaluino IDE (or Jaluinoide, that's its name), is an IDE for Jaluino. Main goals were:

Jaluino v1.1: enhanced Arduino-like board

Last time, I built Jaluino v1.0, the very first version of Jaluino. Jaluino is an Arduino-like board (some even say a clone), based on a Microchip PIC 18F4550, and powered by jalv2 and jallib. This first version was very encouraging, but several points had to be improved. Quite a lot of has been discussed, now has come the next version: Jaluino v1.1
